The Spelljammer vessel lends its name to the AD&D campaign setting. Back in the original Spelljammer: Adventures in Space (1989) set, we got a poster map and a brief profile of the mysterious giant. It was akin to a Flying Dutchman, elusive and resistant to the laws of space and time.
Two years later, TSR gave the Spelljammer its own box set.
