FASA Corporation released these two boxed map sets in support of their extensive STAR TREK RPG product line. With these deck plans, it’s a snap to game out encounters and boarding actions. The maps are well-rendered, labelled, and look sexy.
Despite being nearly 40 years old, the Original Series ST ship blueprints would be an easy addition to your online VTT sessions. Take a few overhead photos with your phone camera, edit the images, and upload to Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, Foundry, etc.

Were there deck plans of these ships before FASA published them or was this the first time The Enterprise was mapped out?

Yes, the original blueprints were published back in 1975, though they werent at the same scale as the FASA ones.
FASA’s were printed larger so that they could be used in tabletop game play with miniature figures.
… forgot to add that there were 12 Sheets in the original blueprints.
1-4 were of the outside, 5 was a profile cut-away and 6-12 were the interiors.
I have two sets of them I got when I was a kid back then.
